To examine the chemical and bio-chemical processes that are involved in water treatment for drinking purposes, and the treatment of industrial and domestic wastewaters for water reuse and discharge to the environment.

  • Chemicals and bio-chemicals in water and wastewater treatment
  • Natural and man-made pollutants that affect water quality
  • Purposes, benefits and disadvantages of key chemical and biochemical processes used in water/wastewater treatment
  • Parameters and assessment of water and wastewater quality
