To develop advanced professional leadership and clinical skills required to be ready to commence work as an autonomous physiotherapy practitioner within interdisciplinary teams.
Students will learn how to apply advanced clinical knowledge and skills in acute and rehabilitation practice across the lifespan. Students will learn independent clinical reasoning skills, client-centred management planning skills, analysis and integration of evidence into assessment and management, skills required for interprofessional practice e.g. interdisciplinary communication, teamwork skills, leadership development, workload prioritisation, culturally responsive care including Aboriginal cultural awareness and issues of the health of rural Australians, and develop a commitment to understanding and executing leadership and actioning their own professional development education through participation in a student led conference.
