Course aim

To promote knowledge and appreciation of geometry, from Euclid's Elements to projective and non-Euclidean geometry.

Course content

Axioms and postulates of Greek geometry. Straightedge and compass constructions.
Coordinate geometry.  Vectors and Euclidean spaces.
Perspective and projective planes. Theorems of Pappus and Desargues.
Non-Euclidean geometry.
