To ensure advanced understanding of the complexities and importance of ethics in the context of the demanding business environment associated with the provision of financial advice. The course aims to embed ethical awareness and management of ethical issues in professional providers of financial advice, including the importance of professional codes of ethics and conduct to their practice.
Professions and professionalism; ethical frameworks and decision-making; professions and professional ethical codes; regulatory environment and fiduciary relationships and duties; client identification and best interest duty; client engagement and relationships, conflicts of interest and their management; consent and resolution of associated ethical problems; good faith and due diligence and remuneration as an ethical challenge.
