UniSA Education Futures
To provide students with foundational knowledge of arts education - its history, theories, and practices - pertinent to their future roles as secondary school arts educators in visual arts, drama and creative arts.
Students will undertake a critically reflective audit of their existing knowledge, skills, and understanding in visual arts, drama and creative arts in relation to curriculum frameworks and professional standards. Through practical learning activities, students will learn about a range of arts pedagogies and plan for progression and assessment in the arts. Readings in the history and philosophy of arts education will support theoretical underpinnings for all course content.
