Course aim

To read narrative and non-narrative texts as social, material and cultural expressions in which versions of the world are produced through language and image.

Course content

In this course students will explore the overlaps, mixtures and interactions between narrative and non-narrative texts. This will include analysis of poetic language, persuasive techniques and cultural expressions in texts that circulate in personal and political domains, and in popular culture and social media. Students will engage in deep analysis of language, literature and visual image through creative and critical perspectives.
