Students will develop critical knowledge of the approaches to classroom and learning management which promote engaging learning environments in the secondary years. A variety of available approaches will be drawn on to promote learner engagement and participation and to promote student wellbeing. Approaches, skills and strategies for handling unproductive student behaviour will be examined. Students will research effective preventative management strategies for secondary school classrooms and articulate the implications for practice.
