To provide students with a comprehensive theoretical understanding of essential concepts that are crucial for operating transport category jet aircraft effectively in AERO 3021 (Large Aircraft Operations_Part 1) and AERO 3020 (Large Aircraft Operations_Part 2).
Having a deeper understanding and appreciation of topics such as large aircraft performance and loading, large aircraft systems and meteorology, students will gain insights into the factors influencing aircraft capabilities and performance as well as having a thorough understanding of certain complex systems to ensure safe and efficient flight operations. Furthermore, the examination of human factors emphasises the importance of non-technical skills such as Crew Resource Management (CRM), communication, situational awareness and decision making. Overall, the aim of AERO 2063 is to prepare students with the required knowledge and understanding for AERO 3021 and AERO 3020.
