To familiarise students with theory relevant to operating an aircraft at the commercial pilot level.
Students will gain CASA CPL level aircraft general knowledge including Aircraft General Knowledge (Test 1); Human Factors (Test 2); Meteorology (Test 3); Flight Rules and Air Law (Test 4); Operation, Performance and Flight Planning (Test 5); Navigation (Test 6); and Aerodynamics (Test 7).

Only students with an offer into the Graduate Diploma in Aviation or those who do not intend to undertake the Graduate Diploma in Aviation should enrol in this course. Bachelor of Aviation students without an offer into the Graduate Diploma but who intend to apply for entry into the Graduate Diploma in Aviation are directed not to enrol in this course until they have been accepted into the Graduate Diploma. These students should seek alternative enrolment advice from the Program Director.
