Course aim

The course equips students with the financial knowledge and logistic skills necessary for festival planning and delivery while also providing them with the opportunity to engage with industry professionals in order to apply in group work the knowledge they have assimilated from the course.

Course content

The course examines all areas necessary for the successful delivery of arts festivals including the financial planning required to realise the artistic program, legal requirements especially those relating to charitable status, relationships with key stakeholders and funders, fundraising, operational management and strategic development and marketing. Successful festival delivery is dependent on rigorous and well-planned operations management as a backbone.
