Course aim

To provide students with an overview of applied statistics for scientific analysis, and advanced coursework in topics related to Nano- and Biomaterials, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Agricultural and Food Science, Environmental Science, Earth Science and Ecology.

Course content

The course will include a module of applied statistics relevant to students’ research projects. Directed study topics will be provided from Nano- and Biomaterials, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Agricultural and Food Science, Environmental Science, Earth Science and Ecology, and will be selected in consultation with student and project supervisor.

Preparatory lectures are offered in the course for those who do not have sufficient background in mathematics or statistics.
