UniSA Education Futures
To prepare graduates who are knowledgeable about how children learn mathematics and science at the junior primary (R-2) level of schooling who have the skills required to plan, teach and assess student learning.
Students will examine junior primary school children’s construction of mathematical and science understanding, processes and attitudes. Analysis of students' prior knowledge of science and mathematical concepts; inquiry based learning; Australian curriculum requirements for science and mathematics; approaches to planning for learning that incorporate formative assessment; analysis and incorporation of print and digital resources.
