Course aim

To develop students’ written and spoken communication skills in English Language at an intermediate level and their performance of a range of tasks in English for Business Studies

Course content

Use of English in a range of genres and situations that align with studies in business and industry. This includes key grammatical concepts and structures; coherent and cohesive writing of paragraphs, essay, business correspondence, project report and presentation; and identifying, interpreting and evaluation of argument in text. The course also includes a focus on intercultural communication, and techniques for making best use of students’ primary language to advance their academic use of English.
