Course aim

The course aims to enhance students’ professional capabilities by fostering their analytical skills in relation to the main aspects of global politics and their representations in popular culture.

Course content

Starting from films as representations of the political, it will explore issues, themes and historical events from the Cold War through to the present, including the nature of domestic regimes, analysis of ideologies causes of conflict and possibility of cooperation, moral dilemmas in war and peace and evolution of human rights. These issues will be discussed within the framework of political theories.
