Course aim

To provide students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge to a professional practice area and demonstrate relevant competencies by engaging with a community or industry partner.

Course content

Undertake an independent research project or work integrated learning under the supervision of an appropriate academic staff member, and may involve collaboration with a community or industry partner. Although students may carry out different topics, the course content for all students includes: health service planning, project management, ethics in health service management, infrastructure management, clinical risk and clinical governance, insurance and regulatory requirements, professional communication and leadership, cultural safety particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
