To provide students with an opportunity to participate in a study tour to extend their discipline specific knowledge and to be immersed in a different cultural experience relevant to social work, human services and psychological science.
Students will complete a supervised study tour and a field based course in either an international host country, or a national remote location. The course will provide an opportunity for students to explore current research and practice contexts relevant to their studies and to gain first hand perspectives on contemporary social issues and challenges faced by communities in diverse cultural contexts. Students will develop knowledge on topics relevant to their experiences on the study tour and how it contributes to their ongoing professional development in the fields of social work, human services or the psychological sciences.
