The aim of this course is to develop professional skills and values, including UniSA graduate qualities, with a structured analysis of, and reflection on, experience gained during a placement with a legal professional workplace. Students will apply their knowledge of the law gained throughout their studies to work related tasks and gain valuable experience related to their future careers.
An industry placement will be carried out under academic and industry supervision. Students will have the opportunity to apply, evaluate and reflect on knowledge gained throughout their studies and the links to future career options.
All students in the Law programs who, as part of a course, undertake activities where interaction with clients/the public/an external organisation are required, such as industry placements or clinical placement, must demonstrate that they have a current National Police Clearance, which is valid for the duration of the course. External placement providers may also require a current DHS - Working with Children Check (WWCC), which is valid for the duration of the course. The National Police Check will list disclosable court outcomes that may prevent clinical placement/industry placement involvement, requiring withdrawal from the course.
