Examine the complex interaction between society, the health care system and the role of the Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
Gain insight into political, sociocultural, economic and individual determinants of health as well as an understanding of the current funding models within the healthcare system. Consideration is given to inequality, difference, social responsibility and social justice.
Students will also be introduced to client centered practice, multi-disciplinary environments and practice models and ethical issues in health care practice.
