Course aim

Develop skills in conducting a systematic search and review of the literature

Course content

This course is undertaken in a research team (small groups) under the supervision of an academic staff member. Each group of students will select a predetermined topic, develop an evidence based question, develop a systematic search strategy, access, retrieve, conduct an appraisal of bias and summarise the findings in order to answer the research question. The systematic review will be presented in the form of a written report which will include recommendations for clinical practice and embedding of best available research within relevant courses / program.
