Course aim

To build on students' knowledge of the arts industry and to offer practical information relevant to developing a career.

Course content

Students will explore ways to develop their careers as artists and in allied professions through an overview of the arts sector, including federal and state arts advisory and funding bodies, private and public galleries, advocacy and community arts organisations, public art commissions, residencies, artist run initiatives, and alternative examples of artist collectives and cooperatives, and creative entrepreneurship. Students will develop curriculum vitae and the skills to produce grant applications and acquittals, build networks, and promote their work.
