Construction Contract Management

Course aim

To provide students with knowledge and analytical skills in contract procurement and administration for commercial construction projects using both Australian and international standard forms of construction contract.

Course content

Procurement and tendering of construction projects. Contract formation. Standard forms of construction contract. Key contractual provisions in construction contracts with respect to: nature of contract, role of superintendent, time, payment, and variations. Building and construction industry security of payment legislation.
