Command Instrument Rating 1

Course aim

Complete the instrument flight rules, navigation with 2D and 3D approaches in single engine aircraft and simulator lessons, and be recommended for progress into Command Instrument Rating 2.

Course content

Instrument flight rule procedures conducted in the simulator including holding patterns, precision and non precision approaches, as well as in practical flying in the above exercises.

Students must hold a minimum of a Class II Medical with at least 6 months validity. Students must remain compliant with the Aviation Academy's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP). Students must hold a commercial pilot licence prior to enrolling in this course.
