Course aim
Safely achieve first solo flight, and complete Glide and Short Field Landing circuits.
Course content
- Pre-flight and post-flight actions and procedures;
- Standard radio and aircraft operating procedures;
- Basic in flight manoeuvers;
- Basic aircraft performance, principles of flight, meteorology, aviation law;
- Decision making, threat and error management, situational awareness airmanship;
- Take-off, circuit and landing.

Prerequisite(s)
Students must hold a minimum of a Class I Medical with at least 6 months validity. Students must remain compliant with the Aviation Academy's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP). Students must show proof of ASIC application.
