Course aim

To facilitate students understanding of food, wine and festivals as a special interest tourism by exploring various emerging issues and business practices in the context of creative tourism entrepreneurship.

Course content

Creative industry; the transformations of creative destinations; role of food, wine and festivals as ‘new’ tourist attractions; special interest tourism; emerging trends and issues in the food and wine tourism industry; taste of food and wine culture; international cuisines; fusion food industry; food entrepreneurs; culinary business and restaurant enterprises; wineries and tourism; creative cities, eventful cities, and creative entrepreneurship; arts, food and wine festivals; festivals and creativity; urban entrepreneurship.
