Course aim

To interpret and relate the Development Act and Regulations, to building, planning and environmental controls and their application to development and to the practice of building surveying and planning.

Course content

The Development Act and Regulations, the Building Code of Australia, the building approval system, certification and plan checking. Statutory obligations of Local Government and private industry. Case Studies, planning appeals, enforcements, and court proceedings.
