Course aim

To provide students with an understanding and practical working knowledge of: specialised procurement strategies; subcontracting; latent conditions, insurance, security, defective work, determination, claims and dispute resolution provisions commonly found in standard forms of construction contract; construction insolvency; and dispute resolution methods used in the construction industry.

Public private partnerships; Project alliancing; Subcontracting: Latent conditions; Contract indemnities, insurances and securities; Defective work under the contract; Contract determination; Contract claims and dispute resolution procedures; Insolvency and personal property securities legislation; Methods of dispute resolution.
