Course aim

To develop in-depth knowledge of individual and group counselling skills for recovery based therapeutic relationships and practice

Course content

Recovery values, strengths-based practice, person and family centred care, lived experience and consumer perspectives, counselling skills and processes used in recovery orientated care, trauma informed care, cultural safety, reflective practice, therapeutic use of self, the peer workforce, dignity of risk and ethical considerations in counselling, planning and evaluation of individual and group recovery programs, leadership and facilitation skills
