This course aims to provide students with an introduction to aviation knowledge required for the award of recreational pilots licence and develop students' in-depth understanding in 2 selected topics in the lead-up to commercial pilots licence.
Flight planning; air laws and procedures; navigation; meteorology; aircraft general knowlege; aerodynamics theory; operations; and human performance and limitations.

Only students with an offer into the Graduate Diploma in Aviation should enrol in this course. Bachelor of Aviation students without an offer into the Graduate Diploma but who intend to apply for entry into the Graduate Diploma in Aviation are directed not to enrol in this course until they have been accepted into the Graduate Diploma. These students should seek alternative enrolment advice from the Program Director.
