To examine the historical, cultural, political, socioeconomic and environmental influences on the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.
The underlying principles of cultural safety in healthcare: health, people, the environment, socio-ecological perspective, relational practice. Contemporary health strategy: health statistics, key policy documents and the influences of historical social, political, cultural, economic and environmental factors on healthcare delivery as it relates to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
