To examine the historical, cultural, political, socioeconomic and environmental influences on the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.
The underlying principles of cultural safety in healthcare: health, people, the environment, socio-ecological perspective, relational practice. Contemporary health strategy; health statistics; key policy documents and the influences of historical socio-political, cultural, economic and environmental factors on healthcare delivery as it relates to person centred care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
