The aim of this course is to provide students with an innovative in situ approach to learning that incorporates real world experiential learning coupled with insights into contemporary international business in a major international setting. It also explores the influence of domestic and foreign firms on international business operations.
This course will be conducted intensively as a field based course in a host country, supported by a pre-departure seminar and a return debriefing. The course will provide an opportunity for students to gain a first-hand perspective on the issues and challenges faced by firms operating in a global business environment. Key areas of coverage include: the influence of culture and the socio-cultural context on business, regulatory and legal considerations, trade related matters as well as strategic business issues.
