Course aim

To apply advanced understanding of neurophysiological and biomechanical principles to movement assessment and movement-based interventions, within a biopsychosocial framework.

Course content

Critical application of motor control, motor learning and education theories to the assessment and management of patients with movement impairments; advanced skills in examination of normal movement, movement dysfunction and functional performance in the context of sport, recreation and workforce; examination and management of movement dysfunction in patients with musculoskeletal disorders, chronic conditions; collaborative reasoning in the context of advanced examination and management of movement disorders.
