This course will continue to develop instrumental, improvisational, interpretive and technical skills to a high level.
Focussed on the continued development of both individual and group performance skills with an emphasis on presentation and critical evaluation. Continue to develop instrumental and/or vocal skills through large and repertoire rehearsals and performances. Students utilise skills in sight-reading and ensemble performance. Each student will audition for an ensemble place or participate in a small reading ensemble. The Bebop, Hard-Bop and Latin Jazz style will be studied, and students will be given the opportunity to create new musical interpretations of designated repertoire.
