The course builds on the foundations of structural anatomy through the analysis of movement, by applying kinesiology principles and anatomical terminology.
Muscle coordination and function; postural control and stability; effects of muscle imbalances on the musculoskeletal system and changes with the musculoskeletal system with aging. Students will be able to apply this knowledge through the practical assessment of strength, flexibility, anthropometric, posture and movement analysis of individuals, then interpret the findings to provide basic exercise programming advice.
