Course aim

This course promotes an in-depth understanding of sustainability and its effect on the supply chain. It equips students with the critical strategic, managerial and ethical perspectives for developing, implementing and addressing environmental, social and economic value in the context of global supply chain operations.

Course content

Sustainability concepts, standards, issues and governance pertaining to supply chain operations; including green distribution systems, sustainable warehousing, product design for cleaner production, ethical sourcing and supply, closed loop systems and balancing trade-offs and different corporate social responsibilities in a supply chain; strategies to implement and operationalise sustainable supply chains.
