Course aim

To demonstrate the advanced communication, technical and cognitive skills that are necessary to analyse, evaluate and integrate pharmacotherapeutic knowledge into the provision of best pharmacy practice. 
To demonstrate well developed judgment and advanced problem-solving skills in a professional context. To reflect on the Professional Placement experience (identifying any deficits in knowledge attitudes and skills) and hence outline an individualised plan for ongoing personal and professional development.

Course content

To demonstrate advanced communication, technical and cognitive skills necessary to analyse, evaluate, integrate pharmacotherapeutic and professional practice knowledge in the provision of best pharmacy practice. Effective communication, choosing strategies for both health professional and non-health professional dialogue and appropriate to context. Implementation and monitoring of medication management plans in consultation with patients/clients and other health professionals if appropriate. Development of an individualized personal and professional development plan.
