Course aim
To provide students with experience and appreciation of the process of planning engineering projects, including specification, design and scheduling a mechatronic project that covers aspects of systems integration and autonomy.
Course content
The specification and systems requirement analysis of mechatronic engineering projects; quality standards, literature and computer data base searches, the design process, functional and physical block diagrams and project scheduling.
Note: Project Planning and Formulation is the first component of the minor thesis project. Students will be required to continue the project in Project Methodologies and then Autonomous Systems Minor Thesis.
