Digital Literacy: Screen, Web and New Media
The course will develop students’ digital literacy through a focus on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for screen and web. This course is suitable for students who already have good working knowledge of computers.
Students will gain insight into contemporary visual communication through analysing and critiquing new media texts, such as film, advertising, web content and games. Students will then design, develop and produce a new media project. Through this course students will extend their ICT and digital literacy skills for application in undergraduate degrees such as art, design, media, information technology, and marketing.
