To develop the student in the practice of clinical pharmacy and therapeutics integrating skills and knowledge to enable the pharmacist to make rational decisions regarding a patient’s drug management.
Pathophysiology and treatment of various disease state module: critical care, haematology, oncology, respiratory, renal, dermatology and gastroenterology. Application of evidence based medicine to practice identifying benefits and limitations to the population as a whole and the individual patient. Pharmacotherapy instruction including dosage calculations, adverse reactions, drug interactions, relevant pharmacokinetics, alternative therapies and monitoring parameters.
