Course aim

To provide students with the ability to apply the principles and practice of property valuation in the context of current trends and issues and the ability to research, reflect upon and analyse these current issues.

Course content

Providing the property valuation context including the unique nature of property as a traded commodity in an inefficient and imperfect market; importance of location; concept of market value; the valuation process including the methods of valuation; data requirements and various analytical techniques; reporting results to the client; responsibilities of the valuer
