Course aim

To provide an applied research experience at a masters level of study, to broaden knowledge in specialist areas, and to expose students to both the substantive theory and practice of research in the field of finance. To provide the training necessary to conduct independent quality research in finance, cultivate analytical and critical skills, and develop an awareness of emerging developments in finance discipline and closely related fields.

Course content

Students will be familiar with different topics in mainstream finance, and conduct an applied research project on this area. The course embeds the research approaches and quantitative tools required to define and complete a research project under supervision. The focus of the course is on developing skill sets that increase graduate employability.
