Course aim

To extend students’ knowledge of the principles of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and develop skills to critically review geographical related problems and the ability to apply GIS and spatial modelling to these problems.

Course content

A problem based approach facilitating the application of critical thinking skills to select and use GIS tools, such as interpolation, network analysis and exploratory data analysis,. This course provides students with a working knowledge (hands-on learning experience) of computer software commonly used for spatial data analysis.
