Course aim

To apply surveying knowledge and experience to a significant surveying or spatial science problem.

Course content

The project will be supervised by a staff member of the University and a master surveyor from the profession. The results of the project will be presented to the University and the Surveyors Board of SA.

Students undertaking the Spatial Science option will extend the major investigation project in spatial science that they commenced in the previous study period. The project will be practically oriented, aimed at solving a problem and will be reported by way of a major report / minor thesis and a presentation to the University, the Board of Surveyors and spatial profession. Each student will be allocated a supervisor from the University.
