Course aim

Carry out cross country flying using visual and instrument flight rules while striving for commercial pilot licence professionalism and accuracy.

Course content

Flight planning, performance and preparation; departure and entry procedures controlled and in controlled aerodromes; diversions and simulated in-flight emergencies; flight outside and within controlled airspace; en-route navigation under instrument flight rules.

Teaching method

INTERNAL, MAWSON LAKES
Practical (Students are assigned an instructor for the duration of the course who will work with each student individually to plan and book flight lessons.)	12 Weeks x 1-2 flights per week
Tutorial (Each new topic is preceded with by a pre-flight briefing delivered to all course participants.)	12 weeks x Once per week
Directed Study (Pre flight planning. Students will be required to commence planning prior to their scheduled practical.)	1 hour x Prior to each practical

Assessment

Practical flight assessment ensuring student is making progress towards the commercial pilot standard., Practical flight test to ensure student is competent to execute Limited Panel operations whilst navigating.

Note: This is a non-graded course and your result will be a pass or fail.
