To develop knowledge and skills in research for design through empirical research methods and their application for use in a simple interior architecture project.
Students will research a small to medium scale project to evaluate the challenges and opportunities of an interior space, brief, and occupant needs, and develop a design proposal underpinned by research in the context of interior design practice that includes spatial planning, material culture, history and design theory, services, universal design and sustainability.
