To provide students with a conceptual foundation and context of information technologies, Internet, World Wide Web, and digital publishing as used in information-intensive professions.
An overview and a developmental history of how computers, telecommunications, networking, and digital publishing functions and interactions in the information professions. The course will also cover Webpage design, accessibility, Web 3.0 tools, content management systems, cloud technologies, and emerging technologies. Technology management and planning within the information professions will be a focus.
