To enable students to synthesise and consolidate theories in Indigenous knowledges as they relate to language, culture in the social sciences.
Students will critically analyse aspects of Indigenous culture and language and demonstrate an understanding of how these relate to identity. Students will investigate the impact of the social sciences on Indigenous Peoples through an analytical focus on Indigenous Standpoint theory and the cultural interface.
