Documentary Film builds on the concepts and skills acquired in introductory film courses and introduces students to the key elements, techniques and practices of documentary production as it applies to short form documentary.
The course focuses on the conventional documentary form and the development of strong factual storytelling skills, high production values and the presentation of content in a clear and engaging way. It provides students with the documentary knowledge and skills necessary for the creation, shaping and conveying of factual content required of news, current affairs, documentary features, television magazine programmes, advertising and other information-based media forms.
