To further develop students' knowledge and advance applied skills in research methods associated with historiography and cultural studies.
Students will build on previous skills to explore key issues and debates in research approaches to cultural studies and historiography. The course will review contemporary methodologies, research methods and approaches in relation to contemporary research questions and sites in the fields of historiography and cultural studies. It will provide students with detailed research skills and a theoretical and applied understanding of ethics. Students will design and conduct a small individual or collaborative research project to demonstrate an applied understanding of their chosen research approach.
