Course aim

To further develop students' knowledge and advance applied skills in research methods in the diverse field of cultural studies.

Course content

Students will build on previous skills to explore key issues and debates in research approaches to the study of culture. The course will review contemporary methodologies, research methods and approaches in relation to contemporary research questions and sites in cultural studies. It will provide students with detailed research skills and a theoretical and applied understanding of ethics. Students will design and conduct a small individual research project to demonstrate an applied understanding of their chosen research approach.

Successful completion of any second year course in the Cultural Studies major/sub-major in MBAA Bachelor of Arts or DBCI Bachelor of Creative Industries or by the approval from the Program Director.
